Tenz Maalsen (b. 2003) is a dutch photographer and creative director. In his work, he portrays people in a way that reveals their strength, pride and dignity. Emotion and posture of his subjects play a central role in his images.

By placing himself close to the reality of his subjects, he aims to create photographs that feel authentic and honest. The connection with the people he photographs plays an important role in this process. He tries to understand their world and place himself within it, so that a photograph becomes not just an image, but also a moment of genuine encounter.

He is one of the co-founders of NOIR, a creative community founded in 2020. NOIR fosters genuine human connection in an increasingly digital world through club nights, exhibitions, collaborative projects, and clothing.

Tenz has worked with brands, artists, and institutions such as

Skepta, Nike, Adidas, Patta, Rimon, What’s Culture, Footlocker,
Snipes, Puma, Frenna, and Aiche.
